The group was born in 2008 in Torroella de Montgrí in a rather spontaneous way. The members were a group of friends who spent their afternoons doing what they liked the most: music. From there, they saw that they had the possibility of fulfilling their dream of creating a musical group, and with the passage of time, they did so. They created their group, under the name Acció Festiva, on July 23, 2008. Acció Festiva played songs with a ska rock style, and two years after its creation, it recorded its first studio album: La torrada, recorded at the 44.1 studios in Aiguaviva. With this first album, they toured more than 80 concerts in venues and stages in Catalonia, which helped them to become known. Two years after the recording of the first album, they began recording the group's second studio album in 2012, which was released in 2013 under the name On sóc ara, with the RGB Suports record label and recorded at Ground studios. With this album, the group changed its ska rock style to a pop-rock and reggae style. With this change of style, and identifying themselves as people who have changed and evolved during these years since their beginning, they went from being Acció Festiva to Acció, as they are currently known. On sóc ara is composed of ten songs that reflect everything the group has experienced since it was formed in 2008 as Acció Festiva."
